Student Achievement Reporting

Student achievement is reported to students and parents/caregivers four times a year with the opportunity for parents or caregivers and students to discuss student achievement and progress in a Parent and Teacher Interview twice a year.

Aligned with the department’s reporting on Australian Curriculum in Education Schools R-10 Procedure, teachers are required to use descriptive reporting to provide information about students’ engagement and achievement, what they have learnt, what they need to learn next, and how the teacher, student, parent or caregiver can support these next steps to happen. This is done through descriptive information supporting A–E grades in assessment task feedback published on Daymap and through the range of oral reporting which occurs between school and parents or caregivers at Parent and Teacher Interviews, phone calls and other contact and meetings with families and students.
