Student Achievement Reporting

Student achievement is reported to students and parents/caregivers four times a year with the opportunity for parents/caregivers and students to discuss student achievement and progress in a Parent/Teacher Interview twice a year.

Aligned with the department’s reporting on Australian Curriculum in Education Schools R-10 Procedure, teachers are required to use descriptive reporting to provide information about students’ engagement and achievement, what they have learnt, what they need to learn next, and how the teacher, student and parent/caregiver can support these next steps to happen. This is done through descriptive information supporting A–E grades in assessment task feedback published on Daymap and through the range of oral reporting which occurs between school and parents/caregivers at Parent/Teacher Interviews, phone calls and other contact and meetings with families and students.
